Dartmouth won the event with Tufts and Boston College finishing close behind. The teams from Harvard, New Hampshire, and UMass Dartmouth followed in that order.

    Sailing Withdraws at Newport On the second and final day of racing for the Vietor Trophy, sustained winds exceeding 20 plus miles per hour and rough water conditions plagued the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s sailing team all day at Newport. Several sailors were retired in mid-race, due to boats hampered by water intake. Prior to the day's final race, UMass Dartmouth’s coaches decided to withdraw from the field.

    Sailing 10th at Noringer Regatta The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's sailing team finished 10th at the Professor Noringer Regatta, hosted by Boston University this weekend. The finish was a program best for the Corsairs in the 15-team field. UMass Dartmouth improved their overall score from 331 points to 134 points from the beginning of the season in September (lowest scores represent higher finishes).

    Sailing Fifth at Dartmouth HANOVER, NH-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's sailing team finished fifth in a strong field at the Mascoma Invitational, hosted by Dartmouth Saturday and Sunday. The UMD B team also finished fifth, with Dartmouth finishing first overall, followed by Tufts, Bates, McGill, and Colby following UMass Dartmouth.
