  • 24 Corsairs Earn LEC Academic Honors
    July 30, 2013
    The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth has placed 24 student-athletes on the 2012-13 Little East Conference Spring All-Academic Team. The team includes student-athletes who competed on teams during the spring season, and were sophomores or better with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or better. The team included student-athletes in the spring sports sponsored by the LEC.
  • Worden, Medeiros Earn LEC Post-Season Baseball Honors

    Two members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth baseball team have earned Little East Conference post-season honors. Senior catcher Matt Worden (New Bedford, MA/New Bedford HS) and sophomore center fielder Ryan Medeiros (Acushnet, MA/New Bedford HS/Eckerd) have been named second team All-Conference.

    The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth baseball team fell just short at the Little East Conference Tournament at the University of Southern Maine Baseball Stadium Saturday. After finishing off a suspended game, a 21-5 win, against UMass Boston Saturday morning, the Corsairs defeated Eastern Connecticut State, 7-6, to advance to the finals before falling to the host Huskies, 4-2, in the championship round.

    The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth baseball team defeated UMass Boston, 21-5, at the Little East Conference Tournament at the University of Southern Maine Baseball Stadium. The game was finished Saturday morning after being suspended in the top of the eighth inning because of darkness Friday evening.

    Junior right-hander Karney Boff (Dighton, MA/Dighton-Rehoboth HS) and senior right-hander Tyler White (Westport, MA/Westport HS/Massasoit CC) combined on a two-hitter as the Corsairs defeated Western Connecticut State, 2-1, in their second round elimination game at the Little East Conference Tournament at the University of Southern Maine Baseball Stadium Thursday.
  • Baseball Drops LEC Tourney Opener to ECSU, 10-9

    Eastern Connecticut State scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning and held on to defeat the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth baseball team, 10-9, in the first round of the Little East Conference Tournament at the University of Southern Maine Baseball Stadium Wednesday.

    The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s baseball team is back in the Little East Conference Tournament. The Corsairs clinched a post-season berth when they earned a split of their doubleheader against host Southern Maine by winning the second game, 9-4, at the USM Baseball Stadium Friday. The Huskies took the opener, 16-3 in seven innings.

    The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s baseball team scored nine runs in the seventh and eighth innings of the second game to erase a 5-3 deficit and defeat host Eastern Connecticut State, 13-5, and earn a split of their Little East Conference doubleheader at the ECSU Baseball Stadium Saturday. The Warriors won the opener, 3-2.
