Bowdoin Sweeps UMass Dartmouth Baseball Team

WINTER HAVEN, FL-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's baseball team lost twice to Bowdoin in the Russmatt Baseball Central Florida Invitational Tournament Wednesday.
The Polar Bears won the opener, 8-3, and the nightcap, 9-0.
Bowdoin got a pair of outstanding pitching performances, as Ben Higgins tossed a six-hitter in game one, allowing three earned runs while striking out seven. Pat Driscoll earned the win in game two, going seven innings and permitting just five hits and striking out seven in the victory.
Catcher Reid Auger stretched his hitting streak to 13 games with four hits on the day with three coming in the nightcap, including a home run. Kevin Zikaras also had four hits on the day.
UMD dropped to 0-8 with the losses, while Bowdoin improved to 8-6 with the wins. UMass Dartmouth will complete their spring trip when they play a doubleheader against Endicott Friday.
