NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's baseball team was one run away from a sweep of their Little East Conference doubleheader against visiting Keene State at the UMass Dartmouth Athletic Complex Saturday afternoon.
But the Owls scored twice in the top of the 10th inning of the nightcap and held on for a 2-0 victory and a split after the Corsairs won the opener, 9-7.

Senior Corey Vogt (Suffield, CT/Suffield HS), who relieved Thiesing in the eighth inning, earned the win and improved to 3-0, while Campbell took the loss and dropped to 2-2. Sophomore Eric Perrault (Salem, NH/Salem HS) earned his first save.
"We played well," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Bob Curran. "It was nice that we came back in game one after they took the lead and we kept adding to it. In the second game, both starting pitchers were outstanding. That's the way it is in baseball. I was disappointed that we lost game two, but we played very well all day."
The Corsairs are now 8-10 and 2-2 in the Little East Conference, while the Owls are 14-6 and 2-2. UMass Dartmouth will return to action when they visit Brandeis for a doubleheader Sunday. Keene State will visit Babson Sunday.
