Feb. 20, 2012

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Senior forward Justin Pulver (Plymouth, MA/Falmouth HS/Johnson & Wales) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's basketball team has been honored.

Pulver has been named the LEC Co-Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Pulver averaged a double-double last week, averaging 19 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, as the Corsairs defeated UMass Boston and Southern Maine. He scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in last Tuesday's win at UMass Boston, then scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds against Southern Maine on Saturday. For the week, he made 18 of 26 shots from the field for 69.2 per cent.

"Justin deserves the honor," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Brian Baptiste. "He had a very good week and played with a lot of enthusiasm, and his play was a big factor in our win against Southern Maine."

The Corsairs will take a 13-12 record into Tuesday night's LEC playoff game at Keene State.
