Brendan McNeish Receives Pre-Season Honor

ROSELAND, NJ-Senior wide receiver Brendan McNeish (Springfield, MA/Bridgton Academy) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's football team has been named an NCAA Division III Pre-season Regional All-Star by the USA Football News.

McNeish was chosen to the Northeast team as a wide receiver. USA Football News chose teams from four regions: the Northeast, South, Central and West.

The Corsairs' leading receiver last year with 34 receptions for 451 yards, a 13.3 average per catch and four touchdowns, McNeish has caught 68 passes for 838 yards and seven touchdowns during the past two seasons after starting at quarterback as a freshman. He has also served as the backup quarterback in each of the past two years.

"We expect Brendan to have an outstanding year for us," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Mark Robichaud. "He has been tremendous in camp, he came in ready and motivated to win.  Brendan is very deserving of this pre-season regional all-star honor."

The Corsairs will open their season at Mount Ida Friday evening, August 31st.
