Football Set To Tackle 10-Game Slate In Robichaud's 12th Campaign

Summer is in its full glory across the region, but thoughts are quickly turning to the cooler fall days ahead as preparations continue for the 2018 Corsair football campaign that kicks off in less than six weeks.

Head Coach Mark Robichaud’s squad is set to tackle a 10-game slate during his 12th campaign at the helm, as the fourth decade of UMass Dartmouth football begins on Saturday, September 1st when the Corsairs head to Alfred State (N.Y.) for a non-league clash that kicks off at 1:00 p.m. EDT.  Robichaud’s squad opens its home slate the following weekend (Saturday, September 8th) by hosting perennial national power Delaware Valley at Cressy Field for a Noon EDT clash, and UMass Dartmouth will also entertain defending league champion Plymouth State (Saturday, September 22nd), Worcester State (Saturday, October 13th), Massachusetts Maritime (Saturday, November 3rd) and Fitchburg State (Saturday, November 10th) in home Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference contests.

UMass Dartmouth hits the road for MASCAC encounters at Westfield State (Friday, September 14th), Western Connecticut (Saturday, September 29th), Bridgewater State (Saturday, October 13th) and Framingham State (Saturday, October 27th).
