Football Lands 11 on NEFC All-Academic Team

March 31, 2011

BOSTON, MA-Eleven members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's football team have been recognized by the New England Football Conference for their academic prowess.

All were named to the 2010 NEFC All-Academic Team.

The team included 244 student-athletes, all of whom qualified by completing at least three semesters at their current school with a grade-point average of 3.00 or better.

Three seniors made the list, which also included one junior and seven sophomores. Freshmen were not eligible. Two Corsairs, junior offensive lineman Paul Daddario (Spring, TX/Flower Mound HS), and senior wide receiver Shyam Subramanian (Stoneham, MA/Stoneham HS), were repeat winners, having made the 2009 team as well.

"It's always rewarding to see the Academic All-Conference list come out, because those young men are such a great representation of UMass Dartmouth, and what it takes to be a student-athlete at the NCAA Division III level," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Mark Robichaud.
