BUZZARDS BAY, MA-Junior goaltender Ryan Williams (Milton, ON/Huntsville Otters-OPJHL) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's hockey team has been honored by the Massachusetts Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Williams has been named the MASCAC Co-Goaltender of the Week.

Williams stopped 35 of 36 shots in the Corsairs' 4-1 MASCAC victory against Worcester State last Thursday in his only action of the week. He posted a 1.00 goals against average and a .972 save percentage for the week.

"Ryan Williams was once again very solid between the pipes in turning aside 35 shots in the 4-1 win over Worcester," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. "Besides leading the team to four straight wins and victories in seven of the last eight games, he leads the conference with a 1.86 goals against average and a .939 saves percentage. Ryan has been very consistent all season and is an excellent puck handler."

The Corsairs are 9-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the MASCAC. They will return to action when they visit Salem State Tuesday evening.
