Antipin Nets MASCAC Player of the Week Award

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- University of Massachusetts Dartmouth senior forward Dmitry Antipin (Novosibirsk, Russia) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week by the conference office.

Antipin registered three goals to help the Corsairs post a 1-1 record against MASCAC opponents this past week.  The senior forward recorded a season-high two goals in a setback against Framingham State on Saturday.  He cracked the scoring column less than two minutes into the contest with a short-handed marker.  Antipin regained UMass Dartmouth's advantage in the second stanza with his first power-play goal of the campaign.  Earlier in the week, he produced the game-tying goal just 1:18 into the third period in UMass Dartmouth's eventual 4-3 victory at Worcester State.

In 21 games this season, Antipin has penned seven points, including six goals, into his ledger.  He is currently third on the Corsairs in goals and fifth in points.  Antipin also turned in a two-point performance, on a goal and a helper, at Colby College on Nov. 30, 2013.

UMass Dartmouth (5-14-2, 5-9 MASCAC) will return to action at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, when the Corsairs host Plymouth State University (9-10-2, 7-5-2) at Hetland Arena.
