Jon Dryjowicz-Burek Earns MASCAC Post-Season Honors

BUZZARDS BAY, MA-Senior goaltender Jon Dryjowicz-Burek (Ludlow, MA/Springfield Jr. Falcons) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's hockey team has earned Massachusetts College Athletic Conference post-season honors.

Dryjowicz-Burek has been named second team All-Conference.

Dryjowicz-Burek currently has a 3.11 goals-against average, a save percentage of .898 and a record of 10-11-1 this season. His career GAA is 2.29 with a save percentage of .924 and a record of 36-22-3.

The honor marks the third time that Dryjowicz-Burek has earned All-Conference honors in his three seasons at UMass Dartmouth. He has also twice been a semi-finalist for the Joe Concannon Award, twice been chosen a New England Hockey Writers All-Star, and was the ECAC Northeast Co-Rookie of the Year and a member of the All-Rookie Team, a second team NCAA Division III East All-American (American Hockey Coaches Association) and a United States College Hockey Online Division III East All-Star as a freshman.

"Jon Dryjowicz-Burek has been one of the top goaltenders in this program, which has had a number of great goaltenders," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. "He was an All-American as a freshman, the Most Valuable Player of the ECAC Northeast Tournament, and a two-time UMass Dartmouth Most Valuable Player."

UMD will take an 11-14-1 record into their MASCAC semi-final game at top-seeded Fitchburg State Thursday evening. The winner of that game will play for the conference championship Saturday. .
