PAWTUCKET, R.I. – University of Massachusetts Dartmouth underclassmen Devin Dunn (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Donovan Prozinski (Ashland, Mass.) were awarded Little East Conference (LEC) Goalie and Offensive Player of the Week, respectively, after helping the Corsairs to a three-win week in as many games.
It is the second time in Prozinski's career that he has received the accolade, as he garnered the conference-wide recognition on Apr. 17 of last season during his freshman campaign. The sophomore was an offensive force in all three of the squad's victories, logging a trio of multi-goal outings. He finished the six-day span with seven goals while also handing out five helpers, totaling 12 points. Furthermore, he was effective all over the field as he scooped up 14 ground balls.
On the season, the Ashland, Mass. native has racked up 27 points through nine games on the campaign, finding the back of the net on 16 occasions while setting up teammates for 11 more tallies. Consistency has been key for the attack as well, scoring in all but one contest this year for the Blue and Gold.
Dunn earns his first LEC nod as netminder of the week, as he logged his first collegiate victory between the posts on Mar. 26 when the squad hosted Dean (12-8 win). In the three clashes, he anchored the Corsairs' back line of defense for just a shade under 180 minutes, turning aside 19 shots and submitting a goals-against average of 6.33.
The first-year Corsair has made the most of his opportunities early in his career, as he quickly translated his chances into success with three wins to propel UMass Dartmouth to its first three-game winning streak since 2016.
The Corsairs are back in action on Wednesday, Apr. 4 as they travel to Becker College for a non-conference clash beginning at 6:30 p.m.
