Two Men's Lacrosse Players Earn All-Conference Honors

May 7, 2008

PROVIDENCE, RI- Two members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's lacrosse team have been honored by the Little East Conference.

Freshman midfielder Josh Arsenault (Revere, MA/Revere HS) and junior defenseman Tarek Donnelly (Danvers, MA/Danvers HS) have been named second team All-Little East Conference.

Arsenault was fourth on the team in scoring with 18 goals and nine assists for 27 points. Donnelly scored one goal, had 41 ground balls and excelled on defense.

"Josh was an excellent midfielder and did a great job all year," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Kevin Mahoney. "He played like an upperclassman and was a team player. Tarek is quick and aggressive and was usually matched up against the best players on the other team. He was one of the key members of a defensive group that improved in almost every statistical category from last year. I am excited that both Josh and Tarek are returning, and they are part of a group of underclassmen who played above their level of experience. They worked hard to get ready for this season, and it gets me excited about next year."

UMass Dartmouth finished at 10-5, 3-3 in the Little East Conference, and hosted a conference first round playoff game.
