NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-With the regular season behind them, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's soccer team will begin their playoff quest when they open Little East Conference post-season play at top-seeded Eastern Connecticut State Wednesday afternoon. Game time is 2:00 p.m. at Nevers Field.

The fourth-seeded Corsairs will bring an 11-6-1 record and a two-game winning streak into the match. UMass Dartmouth blanked both of their opponents last week, handing the regular season champion Warriors their only conference defeat of the season at Cressy Field last Saturday by a 1-0 score.

ECSU is 6-2 at Nevers Field, one of their two home venues, and lost the last time they played there to Babson, 2-1 October 16th. The Warriors will be a formidable opponent, not having allowed more than two goals in any of their previous contests this year.

"We're happy to be in the tournament, although we're disappointed we didn't do a little better in the regular season and get a home game," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Henry Almeida. "We know it will be a tough match, having to play them back to back. They're going to be very determined, because we handed them their only loss in the conference. We had two big wins last week, which gave us a positive mental attitude. We're very excited."

If the Corsairs win, they will play at Keene State or Rhode Island College in Saturday's championship game. Eastern Connecticut will host the title game if they win. The winner of the tournament will earn the LEC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
