Victor Ferreira Earns NSCAA All-Region Honor

KANSAS CITY, KS – A member of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's soccer team has earned post-season All-Region honors.

Junior forward Victor Ferreira (St. Michael, Portugal,/New Bedford HS) was named first team All-New England Region North by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Ferreira, who was named first team All-Little East Conference, led the Corsairs in scoring with eight goals and eight assists for 24 points, He ranked second in the LEC in points, led the league in assists and assists per game, tied for third in goals and was third in goals per game.

"We're proud of him, as a team and as a coaching staff," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Henry Almeida. "He puts in a lot of work, both during the season and in the off-season, and he trains very hard. We're very happy for Victor, and it's great to see him recognized. It's a proud moment for the program."

UMass Dartmouth finished 12-7-0 overall, was third in the LEC and advanced to the LEC tournament for the fourth year in a row and the LEC championship match for the second time in four years.
