NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA--Two members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team have been honored by the Little East Conference.
Junior midfielder Jarred Goldstein (Weymouth, MA/Weymouth HS/UMass Lowell) and sophomore midfielder Michael Alves (Seekonk, MA/Seekonk HS) were named second team All-Conference.
Goldstein led the Corsairs in scoring with three goals and seven assists for 13 points, while Alves ranked second with five goals and two assists for 12 points. Goldstein also led UMass Dartmouth with two game-winning goals.
"I think Jarred and Michael are both very deserving," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Henry Almeida. "Michael had another strong season, coming off his Rookie of the Year award last year. Jarred was injured late in the season and missed several matches, but he's a strong player and a captain as a junior. Both of them were models of consistency, and we can always count on them to perform. I'm proud of both of them for making it, and I expect big things from both of them next year."
The Corsairs finished with a 7-10-1 record, and finished sixth in the Little East Conference.
