Men's Swimming & Diving Drops Dual-Meet Decision At Babson

BABSON PARK, Mass. --  Both UMass Dartmouth swimming & diving squads dropped dual-meet decisions to host Babson on Saturday afternoon at Morse Pool, as the Beavers posted a 181-103 triumph on the men’s side while notching a 153-115 victory in the women’s competition.

Junior Abigail Wilson (Newburyport, Mass.) was a double winner on the women’s side for the Corsairs, as she took top honors in both the 100 yard (1:09.02) and 200 yard (2:36.54) butterfly.  Fellow juniors Molly Harrington (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Sarah Murphy (Braintree, Mass.) captured first place in the 200 yard individual medley (2:25.99) and 100 yard backstroke (1:06.78), respectively, while freshman Maddie Kovach (Oxford, Conn.) collected the other top finish of the afternoon for UMass Dartmouth in the 200 yard backstroke (2:20.72).

Junior David Adamski (Wilbraham, Mass.) picked up a pair of wins on the men’s side for the Corsairs, as he finished first in both the 500 (5:13.80) and 1000 (10:42.81) yard freestyle events.  Sophomore Jose Guerrero (New Bedford, Mass.) also claimed top honors for UMass Dartmouth in both the one meter (237.10) and three meter (233.35) diving events.

Both Corsair teams return to action on Tuesday evening when UMass Dartmouth welcomes Bridgewater State to the Tripp Athletic Center Natatorium for respective dual-meets that begin at 6:00 pm.
