WORCESTER, Mass. – Four Corsairs competed at Holy Cross on Monday afternoon, playing four singles matches and two doubles competitions as the Crusaders took a 6-0 decision.

How it Happened
The duo of senior Corey Rafter (Franklin, Mass.) and junior Patrick Pacheco (Fall River, Mass.) took two sets at No. 1 doubles, but ultimately fell 6-2 overall. Freshman Mark Desmond (Braintree, Mass.) and sophomore Eric Cimino (Braintree, Mass.) dropped No. 2 doubles by a 6-0 score.
At singles, Rafter was swept in the first set at No. 1 before taking three games for 6-3 second set. Pacheco dropped a pair of 6-0 sets at No. 2, and Desmond took at game in the third flight for a 6-1, 6-0 final score. At No. 4, Cimino fell 6-2 in the opening set and was swept in the second.
UMass Dartmouth will close the regular season with three-straight conference matches, beginning with a 3:30 p.m. match against visiting Rhode Island College on Thursday. The match had originally been scheduled for Tuesday, but has been rescheduled due to impending weather.
