DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth cruised to a 9-0 victory over visiting Bridgewater State University this afternoon in a Little East Conference men's tennis match.

How It Happened
UMass Dartmouth seized control of the match by sweeping the doubles portion. Graduate student Patrick Pacheco (Fall River, Mass.) and freshman Eli Brooks (Franklin, Mass.) combined to post an 8-0 victory at top-flight doubles, while senior Zach Pavao (Somerset, Mass.) and sophomore Mark Desmond (Braintree, Mass.) captured No. 3 doubles, 8-0. Freshman Tristin Viale (Westfield, Mass.) and junior Anthony Joseph (Acushnet, Mass.) completed the sweep with an 8-3 decision at second-flight doubles.
UMass Dartmouth maintained the momentum as all singles players registered straight-set victories. The bottom of the Corsairs ladder won easily as Brooks took a 6-0, 6-1 result at fourth flight singles, Pavao followed with a 6-0, 6-2 victory, and Desmond finished at No. 6 with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
UMass Dartmouth will return to action at 1pm on Saturday, April 28, when the Corsairs travel to Little East Conference foe Southern Maine.
