Men's Tennis Drops Season-Opening Dual-Match Decision At Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, Mass. --  The UMass Dartmouth men’s tennis team opened its 2018-19 schedule by dropping a 9-0 non-league dual-match decision to Eastern Nazarene Wednesday afternoon on the ENC Courts.

Junior Santiago Camero (Valencia, Venezuela) and freshman Tim Schoengens (Inden, Germany) were winners in singles action and teamed up for a triumph at number two doubles for the host Lions (1-2), while sophomore Jesus Lucart (Wylie, Tex.) also collected victories in singles and doubles action for Eastern Nazarene on the afternoon, including a 6-4, 6-4 win at number six singles over sophomore Sean Nutter (Mattapoisett, Mass.) of the visiting Corsairs (0-1).

UMass Dartmouth entertains Stonehill in a non-league dual-match on Thursday afternoon on the UMD Courts beginning at 3:30 pm, while Eastern Nazarene heads to Waltham, Mass. on Friday afternoon to square off with Bentley in a non-league dual-match that begins at 3:00 pm.
