Men's Tennis Wins At Salem State, 6-3

SALEM, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's tennis team completed an undefeated regular season when they won at Salem State, 6-3, in their final Little East Conference match of the season at the Salem State Tennis Courts Saturday.
Sophomore Karsten Rathlev (Winchester, MA/Winchester HS), junior Brennan Dugas (East Falmouth, MA/Falmouth HS/New York City Tech), sophomore Mike Parker (Scituate, MA/Scituate HS) and freshman Matt Bejtlich (Rochester, MA/Moses Brown HS) finished the regular season undefeated in singles.
Rathlev defeated Alex Eisath at number one singles, 6-0, 6-1, Dugas downed Josh Giller at number two, 6-0, 6-1, Parker defeated Johan DaSilva at number three, 6-0, 6-1, and Bejtlich topped Shaun Dowen at number four, 6-4, 6-2.
In doubles, Rathlev and Dugas defeated Eisath and Giller at number one, 8-2, and Parker and Bejtlich downed DaSilva and Joe Kim at number two, 8-4.
"I think it's absolutely fantastic that our top four players ended up undefeated in singles for the whole year," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Tom Mendell. "I don't think too many teams can say that. We played very well, and we're looking forward to the tournament."
The Corsairs improved to 9-0 and 6-0 in the Little East Conference with the victory, while the Vikings dropped to 1-10 and 1-5 in LEC play with the defeat. Both teams will return to action when they participate in the Little East Conference playoffs next week.
