NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Freshman Justin Conor (Holden, MA/Wachusett Regional HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's track and field team has been honored by the Little East Conference.
Conor has been named LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week.
At Saturday's Beynon Invitational at Smith College, Conor was second in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.80 seconds, qualifying for the New England Division III Championships. The time was the third fastest in school history.
"As a freshman, Justin has really adjusted well to the college hurdles," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Steve Gardiner. "He has already demonstrated a real solid work ethic during the first semester, and we're really looking forward to see what the future holds for him."
The Corsairs will return to action at the Boston University Terrier Classic next weekend.
