CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Kevin Cutler (Attleboro, Mass.) and senior Jacob Teixeira (Seekonk, Mass.) highlighted the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's track and field team at the Sean Collier Invitational on the campus of MIT on Saturday afternoon.
Cutler topped the standings in the high jump with a leap 1.98 meters, while Teixeira crossed the finish line at 54.83 to defeat the field in the 400 meter hurdles.
In the shot put, freshman Jared Louf-Woods (Salem, Mass.) turned a third place performance with a heave of 13.97 meters. Sophomore Greg Betsold (Turners Falls, Mass.) registered a distance of 43.79 meters in the hammer throw, while freshman John Kleczkowski (North Attleboro, Mass.) generated a fourth place javelin throw of 52.40 meters.
The Corsair's 4x400 relay team secured third place with a time of 43.09 and sophomore Sean Herlihy (Walpole, Mass.) tripped the timer with a fourth place time of 10:17.46 in the 3,00 meter steeplechase.
UMass Dartmouth returns to action on Saturday, April 25, when the Corsairs compete in the Little Conference Championships at Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Mass.
