PAWTUCKET, R.I. – University of Massachusetts Dartmouth junior Jared Louf-Woods (Salem, Mass.) picked up his second Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season from the Little East Conference office with another nationally-ranking performance on Saturday.
Louf-Woods placed himself fourth nationally in the hammer throw at Westfield State’s Jerry Gravel Invitational, winning the event with a personal-best distance of 189-2.0 (57.67m). That mark sits just a foot and an inch short of the Corsair program record. He additionally claimed the event win in the shot put on Saturday, marking at 49-3.5 (15.02m).
UMass Dartmouth’s outdoor track and field squads will compete once more before the New England Alliance Championships, traveling to Hartford, Conn. for the Trinity College Invitational this coming Saturday.
