CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

Time: Women’s Sub Varsity 10:30 am
Women’s Varsity 11:15 am
Men’s “Robert Buddy Harris” Varsity 12:00 noon
Men’s Sub Varsity 12:45 pm
Awards 2:00 pm (or as soon as we can start)
Course: Men: 5 Miles, gently rolling all grass except for .25 miles, which is on pavement.
Women: 5000 Meters, gently rolling, all grass.
There will be no course tour, but the courses will be well marked out with a white painted alley and mile markers.
Entry Fee: Limit of eight runners in the varsity race; no exceptions please. A school may petition to place its entire squad into the Varsity ll section if competition at that level would be more appropriate. Please notify me if you want to enter the Varsity ll race only. Entry fee is $100.00 per team No unattached runner w/ college eligibility allowed. Men’s and women’s teams from the same school--$200.00 Fee is for a team, even if only two athletes are entered from that school. All entries will be done through Direct Athletics. Please visit Direct Athletics (www.directathletics.com) and familiarize yourself with their format if necessary. Please make checks out to: friends of UMass Dartmouth Athletics. Entries will close at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, September 18.
Lodging: Overnight accommodations available at the Hampton Inn of Westport (508) 675-8500. Ask for the special UMass Dartmouth Athletic Department rate.
Lockers: It is best to come dressed to compete, if possible. Some showers are available in the Tripp Athletic Center.
Trainer: There will be a trainer available. Please bring your own supplies.
Parking: All buses should park in Parking Lots 7-8. Vans should park along the Ring Road or in Parking Lots 7-8. No vans or buses allowed within the Athletic complex road.
Numbers: May be picked up after 9:00 AM and onward in the Tripp Athletic Center Main Lobby.
Maps/ Etc. After 11:00 the packets will be moved to the starting line area.

Awards: The top three collegiate teams in each of the Varsity races, as well and the top 25 collegiate finishers in those races race will receive individual awards. Coaches of the top three teams in the Varsity I races will also receive awards.
