Mort and Waclawk Qualify for Regionals

Warren, R.I. -- The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Equestrian team had two members qualify for regional competition on Sunday at Brown University.

Junior Lauryn Mort (Mattapoisett, Mass.) and sophomore Colleen Waclawk (Rochester, Mass.) both qualified for regionals after each finished in first place in advanced walk trot canter.

Senior Captain Kathryn Gardner (Concord, Mass.) placed sixth in her intermediate flat class, while senior Bridget Hammond (Medway, Mass.) and sophomore Alexandra Koury (Holden, Mass.) finished in third and fourth in advanced walk trot canter.

In beginner walk trot canter, Captain Sarah Murray (Sharon, Mass.) finished in second, while sophomores Erin Robinson (Medway, Mass.) and Natalie Fernberg (Attleboro, Mass.) each placed in sixth.

Sophomore LillyAnn Kuehl (Westford, Mass.) had a sixth place finish, while freshman Ciara Barrigas (Sandwich, Mass.) and Kira Hallberg (Foxboro, Mass.) placed first and second in their walk trot classes.

The team travels to Paxton, Mass. for a show hosted by Becker College this Saturday.
