NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-A member of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's field hockey team has earned All-Region honors.
Junior forward Stephanie Kinchla (Falmouth, MA/Falmouth HS/Quinnipiac) has been named a first team Longstreth National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-New England West Region All-Stars. Kinchla was one of 32 players honored in the region.
Kinchla led the Corsairs with 21 goals and 48 points, and ranked second in the Little East in goals and points and tied for second in game-winning goals.
"Stephanie is very deserving of this award," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Nicole Castonguay. "She is a fantastic player, and can find a way to put the ball in the cage under almost any circumstances. She has been a driving force for our success these past two seasons, and we are all anticipating another strong season again from her next fall."
UMass Dartmouth finished with a 15-7 record, won the LEC Tournament and advanced to the first round of the NCAA Championships.
