Liz Stapleton Earns Little East Conference Honors

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Senior midfielder Liz Stapleton (Wakefield, MA/Wakefield HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's lacrosse team has earned Little East Conference post-season honors.

Stapleton has been named second team All-Little East Conference.

Stapleton ranked fourth in scoring for the Corsairs this spring with 17 goals and seven assists for 24 points. She also grabbed 28 ground balls, added 25 draw controls, and caused 15 opposition turnovers.

"As one of our senior captains, Liz really set the tone for us this year," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Jerry Jennings. "She returns to the Little East Conference all-star team, and she was an aggressive, tireless and motivated player for us who set the standard for what we were trying to do on defense. Liz had a great career at UMass Dartmouth, and we wish her all the best in the future."

The Corsairs finished at 4-10 overall and advanced to the quarter-finals of the LEC Tournament.
