SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Springfield College scored three second-half goals to post a 3-0 victory over visiting University of Massachusetts Dartmouth this afternoon in a NCAA women's soccer match at Brock-Affleck Field.
The Pride remain unbeaten on the season, improving to 3-0-1, while the Corsairs evened their record at 1-1.
After a scoreless first half, Springfield scored the eventual game-winner just three minutes, 33 seconds into the second stanza. Less than five minutes later, Cicalis potted her first marker of the campaign to double the hosts' advantage.
Springfield sealed the contest with an insurance marker in the 87th minute to round out the scoring.
Ciara Boucher turned aside both shots she faced, while sophomore Madison Boucher made four stops.
UMass Dartmouth will return to action at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, when the Corsairs travel to Johnson & Wales (R.I.).
