BRISTOL, R.I. - Roger Williams University remained undefeated this afternoon, defeating visiting University of Massachusetts Dartmouth 4-0 in a NCAA Division III women's soccer match.

The Hawks improved to 12-0-3, while the Corsairs had their two-match winning streak snapped to even their overall record at 5-5-1.

Jessica Valenti (North Reading, Mass.) registered a pair of first half goals to stake the hosts to a 2-0 advantage entering the intermission.  Valenti opened the scoring with a strike from approximately 30-yards out, while converting a feed from Mariah Kaiser (Portsmouth, R.I.) in the 43rd minute.

Roger Williams seized control of the contest in the second half, scoring a pair of goals just 39 seconds apart. Valenti completed her hat trick at the 59:20 mark, while Kaiser laced her four marker of the season from the right sideline.

UMass Dartmouth almost got on the board in the 71st minute, when Sarah Pacheco (Somerset, Mass.) had a quality chance that was thwarted by Sydney Martin (Scarborough, Maine).  Martin finished the contest with two stops.

Sophomore Madison Boucher (Southampton, Mass.) played all 90 minutes in net and made two saves.

The Hawks held a 13-3 advantage in shots and 5-1 lead in corner kicks.

UMass Dartmouth will return to action at 4 p.m. on Oct. 17, when the Corsairs host Little East Conference rival Keene State College.  Prior to the match, UMass Dartmouth will recognize its lone senior in Megan Cole (Mansfield, Mass.), who is playing in her final home regular-season contest.
