Women's Soccer Battles to 2-2 Draw at Plymouth State
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's soccer teams battled to a 2-2 overtime draw Saturday afternoon in a Little East Conference match at Arold Field.

PSU took leads of 1-0 in the first half and 2-1 in the second half, only to see UMD answer with the tying goal each time. The two teams played through 20 minutes of overtime without a goal. The outcome gives the Panthers a 6-6-1 overall record and 2-3-1 mark in the LEC while the Corsairs move to 6-5-2 overall and 3-1-2 in conference play.

The Panthers jumped on the board less than five minutes into the game when senior striker Emily Bell (Derry, N.H.) converted a corner kick for her fourth goal of the season, with junior Cassie Lacroix (Candia, N.H.) picking up the assist.  The Corsairs notched the equalizer in the 14th minute when sophomore Abby Silva (Fall River, Mass.) connected on a cross from junior Talia D'Ambruoso (Warwick, R.I.) for her sixth of the season. UMD finished the half with a 7-4 advantage in shots, but the score was tied 1-1.

Junior Hannah Kallis (Sanford, Maine) scored an unassisted goal at the 60-minute mark to give the home team a 2-1 lead, beating a defender and firing home a shot from outside the box for her fifth of the season. UMD came back in the 80th minute as freshman Courtney Hewitt (North Attleboro, Mass.) connected on her first career goal to even the score at 2-2.

The Corsairs out-shot the Panthers 10-2 in the second half but extra sessions were required.

UMD got off the only shot in the first overtime and PSU the only two of the second, but neither team was able to score. The visitors finished with an 18-8 margin in shots.

PSU junior goalkeeper Annaliese Schmidt (Newmarket, N.H.) finished with 10 saves while sophomore Madison Boucher (Southampton, Mass.) made two saves in the Corsair goal.
