Women's Soccer Falls at UMass Boston, 4-0

BOSTON, MA-BOSTON, MA-Host UMass Boston broke a scoreless halftime tie with four second-half goals and went to defeat the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's soccer team, 4-0, in a first round Little East Conference playoff match at the Clark Athletic Center Field Tuesday afternoon.
Kristi Morales put the Beacons on the board when she volleyed home a pass in the 64th minute. Kristin Mulry made it 2-0 with a goal in the 73rd minute, and Tina Gillen scored goals in the 7tth and 77th minutes to complete the scoring.
UMB out shot UMD, 16-15. Junior goalkeeper Tanya Braga (Hudson, MA/Hudson HS) made six saves for the Corsairs, while Jessica Penta made seven saves for the Beacons.
UMass Dartmouth dropped to 6-12-1 with the defeat, while UMass Boston improved to 14-4-1 with the victory. The Beacons will travel to Eastern Connecticut State for a semi-final playoff match Thursday evening. The match was the final action of the season for the Corsairs.
