"Overall, we played well, considering it was our first day of play," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Amy Sasin. "We showed a lot of heart to battle back in the second game, but we just couldn't get the hits when we needed them. We had tons of offense in the first game. In the second game, after we had a bad inning, we pulled together and settled down."
UMass Dartmouth is now 1-1, while Smith is 0-2 and UNE is 2-0..  The Corsairs will return to action when they play Worcester State and Olivet Monday.
