Softball Picked Seventh in Little East Conference Poll
NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's softball team has been picked to finish seventh in the annual Little East Conference pre-season coaches' poll.
The Corsairs received 17 points in the voting, 10 points behind UMass Boston, which was picked to finish sixth. Defending champion Eastern Connecticut State was picked to finish first, receiving six first place votes and 62 points. Keene State was picked second with 52 points. Plymouth State was picked to finish third with 44 points and the other two first place votes. Western Connecticut State was picked fourth with 42 points, Rhode Island College was picked fifth with 35 points, and Southern Maine was chosen to finish eighth with nine points.
UMass Dartmouth will begin their season at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, FL.
