Women's Swimming Falls At Eastern Connecticut
Sophomore Morgan Cooper
WILLIMANTIC, CT-Host Eastern Connecticut State defeated the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's swimming, 148-106, in a dual meet at the ECSU Sports Center Pool Saturday.
Sophomore Morgan Cooper (Sunderland, MA/Frontier Regional HS) led the way for the Corsairs, finishing first in the 50 yard breaststroke in 33.73 seconds. Cooper was UMass Dartmouth's only winner against the Warriors.
"We knew coming into the meet that Eastern was a strong team," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Cathy Motta. "Some of our swimmers are injured, and we are swimming tired coming off our training trip. We are looking to improve with three home meets next week."
UMass Dartmouth's women are now 2-5, while the Warriors are now 5-1. The Corsairs will return to action when they host Gordon Tuesday evening.
