Women's Swimming and Diving Falls Short to Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women' s swimming and diving team lost a heart breaker to Bridgewater State University on Tuesday evening, 120-117.

Senior Katelyn Kidney (Lynn, Mass.) was the top point getter for UMass Dartmouth. Kidney earned the top spot in the 200 yard freestyle (2:06.60), 200 yard butterfly (1:06.75) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:40.09). Freshman Kayla Flanagan (Fairhaven, Mass.) earned the fastest times in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke with 26.87 and 1:04.51.

Freshman Kendra Hebert (Lowell, Mass.) and junior Brooke Garvey (North Billerica, Mass.) finished one-two in the one meter and three meter diving competitions.      

UMass Dartmouth is back in action on Saturday when the host the Louise Goodrum Invitational at noon.
