Kidney Earned Three First Place Finishes Against Gordon College

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Dartmouth senior Katelyn Kidney (Lynn, Mass.) earned three first place finishes in a non-scoring meet against Gordon College on Thursday evening at the Natatorium.

Kidney finished first in the 200 yard freestyle (2:09.43), 100 butterfly (1:05.69) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:43.80).  Freshman Kaya Flanagan (Fairhaven, Mass.) took the top spot in the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard backstroke with times of 2:23.65 and 1:04.96, while classmate Yulyssa Diaz (Dorchester, Mass.) finished the 100 yard freestyle with a first place time of 1:02.66.

The Corsair's 200 yard medley relay team comprised of Cara Butcher (East Longmeadow, Mass.) Kassandra Schell (Hanover, Mass.), Caissie Niles (Raynham, Mass.) and Cori Spagna (Raynham, Mass.) won the event with a time of 2:15.11.

Freshman Kendra Hebert (Lowell, Mass.) took top honors in the one and three meter diving events with point totals of 191.03 and 207.98.

UMass Dartmouth returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Eastern Connecticut State University for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
