"We are very excited about the way we swam tonight," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Cathy Motta. "We were down by a point with two event to go, and really finished the meet strong. We have been training twice daily since our return from our training trip and had practice this morning before the meet, and we still swam seasonal and lifetime bests. It makes us really excited to think about what the team can do once they are rested and tapered."
UMass Dartmouth's women improved to 3-4, while Simmons fell to 1-6.
The Corsairs will return to action when they visit Regis Saturday.
