Swimmers Get Ready for Final Session at NEISDA Championships

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-A University of Massachusetts Dartmouth swimmer broke a school record as the Corsairs got ready for the finals in the three-day New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Division II and III Championships at the Tripp Athletic Center Sunday..
Junior Kathleen Foley (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill HS), who just missed the school record in the 100 yard breast stroke Saturday, was seventh in the 200 yard breast stroke Sunday, qualified for the finals, and broke the school record with her time of 2:34.54. Senior Lisa Sands (Taunton, MA/Taunton HS/UMass) qualified in the 200 yard butterfly when she finished 13th in the trials in 2:27.23, freshman Kim Moore (Billerica, MA/Billerica HS) qualified in the 1650 freestyle when she finished sixth in the trials in 19:33.70, and the 400 freestyle relay team of sophomore Lindsay Little (Danvers, MA/Danvers HS), Foley, Sands and freshman Brittany Dupuis (Milford, MA/Milford HS), qualified by finishing 12th in the trials in 3:58.05.
The meet will conclude Sunday evening.
