Oct. 15, 2008

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Senior Day was an artistic success for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's tennis team in their non-conference match against visiting Worcester State at the UMass Dartmouth Athletic Complex Wednesday.

Seniors Becky Bullock (Wrentham, MA/King Phillip Regional HS) and Allison DeAngelis (Milford, MA/Milford HS) combined for a win at number one doubles to lead the Corsairs to a 9-0 victory over the Lancers.

Bullock and DeAngelis defeated Britney Cullen and Albena Xhemollari, 8-4, in a match that saw nine different Corsairs see action.

"Senior Day went well," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Ralph Perry. "Both of them wanted to play first doubles together, and they won, and everyone did a fine job."

UMass Dartmouth improved to 13-1 with the victory, while WSC dropped to 3-6 with the defeat. The Corsairs will host Western Connecticut State in a Little East Conference semi-final match Saturday afternoon. The Lancers will visit Clark next Tuesday.
