"Plymouth State is a good team, they've placed third in the Little East in each of the past five seasons," said UMass Dartmouth Assistant Coach Nikki Verronneau. "They're a tough opponent. We played well in the second and third games, and just came up a little short. We will see them next weekend at the Johnson & Wales Tournament, and we will be preparing for the tournament when we play Simmons Tuesday."
The Corsairs dropped to 8-4 and 1-1 in the Little East Conference with the defeat, while the Panthers improved to 6-5 and 1-1 in the LEC with the victory. UMass Dartmouth will return to action when they host Simmons Tuesday evening. Plymouth State will host Colby-Sawyer Tuesday.
