BSU held UMD again, and drove for another score. Gelsomino hit Green from 15 yards out with 1:07 remaining in the third quarter to make it 31-6.

"We played pretty well in the first half, but we really struggled in the second half," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Mark Robichaud. "We had a hard time getting anything going offensively, and that hurt us a lot. We left our defense out on the field an awful lot. Overall, our defense played well. We went into the half down, 10-6, but we couldn't get anything going offensively in the second half. They have a good team that is well coached, they played well, and they wore us down."

BSU outgained the Corsairs, 392 yards to 120. Senior quarterback Patrick Orlando (Manchester, MA/Essex HS/Saint Anselm) completed 14 of 26 passes for 85 yards. Senior wide receiver Brandon McNeish (Springfield, MA/Agawam HS/Bridgton Academy) caught three passes for 41 yards. Gelsomino was 9 of 16 for 149 yards for BSU, and Green caught five passes for 112 yards, while Blaise Branch rushed 12 times for 30 yards.

Fraser had eight tackles, including seven solos and a tackle for nine yards of lost yardage in addition to his interception and return for 41 yards. Paul Melichanek had 11 tackles for BSU, including nine solos, 4.5 tackles for lost yardage, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

UMass Dartmouth dropped to 0-2 with the defeat, while Bridgewater State improved to 2-0 with the victory. The Corsairs will visit Framingham State next Saturday.
