Women's Soccer to Fight ALS

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's soccer team will support awareness of ALS (Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) both before and during their game against Rhode Island College on Saturday, October 1 at the UMass Dartmouth Athletic Complex.

At the game, the Corsairs will be wearing special uniforms to support the fight against ALS. There will be a halftime raffle, T-shirts and bracelets will be sold, and donations will be collected.

Beginning next Monday, Corsair women's soccer players will have a table in the campus center from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will sell special UMass Dartmouth Corsair T-shirts with the ALS logo on the back and red live strong bracelets, there will be a gift certificate raffle, and refreshments will be sold. All proceeds will be donated to the Massachusetts chapter of the ALS Association.
