DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Johnson & Wales' (R.I.) women's tennis squad remained unbeaten on the year, as the Wildcats swept host UMass Dartmouth 9-0 in non-conference action Thursday afternoon.

How it Happened
The Corsairs were in until the end at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, as the combination of Jenna Lahaie (Lakeville, Mass.) and Jillian Reichert (Marion, Mass.) dropped an 8-4 decision and Kheyla Orival (Woburn, Mass.) and Samantha Rollings (Tiverton, R.I.) fell 8-5.
Lahaie battled to the bitter end in No. 1 singles, but fell in the decisive third set for a final 6-2, 1-6, 1-10 score. Reichert was up 4-1, but ended up falling in a tiebreak first set before losing the second set 6-2. Molina Oung (Bourne, Mass.) had her unbeaten singles streak snapped as she fell at the No. 5 slot 6-2, 6-4.
Inside the Numbers
- Thursday marks just the second time in head coach Doug Chapman's four-year career at UMass Dartmouth that the Corsairs have dropped a 9-0 decision. The lone other match came against Rhode Island College on Sept. 23, 2014.
- Johnson & Wales continues to have the Corsairs' number in Coach Chapman's tenure at UMass Dartmouth, as the Wildcats remain the only undefeated team that UMass Dartmouth has faced every year since 2013.
