University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is a charter member of the
Little East Conference since the inception of the conference in 1986. The Corsairs currently compete for championships in 17 sports -- baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, women's lacrosse, soccer, softball, track and field, tennis, and volleyball.
The UMass Dartmouth football and ice hockey programs are affiliate members of the
Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). The football program previously participated in the New England Football Conference between 1988 and 2012, while the ice hockey program previously played under the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division III Northeast banner until 2009.
