DiSC Workshop for NEW Fall Captains
Date/Time/Location: Tuesday, August 26, 2025, 7-9 pm, Hall of Fame Room
 
Commemorate the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance
 
The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance (9/11 Day), is a chance to help others in tribute to those killed and injured on September 11th, 2001, first responders, and the countless others who serve to defend the nation's freedom at home and around the globe. 
Join us at Sharing the Harvest Community Farm in Dartmouth on Sunday, September 7, 2025 where we will harvest vegetables for people in need.
 
Transportation provided.

  • Shift 1: 11:30am-1:30 pm (Bus will leave Lot 5 at 11:30am)
  • Shift 2: 1:30pm-3:30 pm (Bus will leave Lot 5 at 1:30pm)

Alumni-Student Leadership Luncheon
Date/Time/Location: Friday, October 17, 2025, Noon-1:30 pm, Marketplace
 
Details: Current students will meet UMassD alumni and community leaders to hear about their college experience and careers, while our guests will learn more about our students’ career aspirations.
Coaches must have student-athletes confirm their attendance with Lori Hendricks.
 
NCAA Legislative Summit
Date/Time/Location: Sunday, November 2, 2025, 11-1 pm, CCB 149
Details: The UMassD Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will discuss the Division III National SAAC priorities and the NCAA Governance Structure, review 2026 proposals and take a straw poll vote on each proposal in advance of the NCAA Convention in January.

Leveraging your Athletic Experience
Date/Time/Location: Monday, November 17, 2025, 5 pm, Hall of Fame Room
Details: In this workshop, you will craft a description of your experience as a student-athlete that you can put directly into your resume. The statement will quantify the time you dedicated, the skills you acquired, your awards and recognition, the leadership positions you held, etc. Bring your resume and laptop.

Little East Conference Student-Athlete Leadership Conference sponsored by LEC SAAC
Date/Time/Location: Sunday, February 1, 2026, Eastern Connecticut State, Willimantic, Conn.
David G. Carter Science Building - 104 (morning session).
J. Eugene Smith Library - Johnston Room (lunch and afternoon session).
Parking - Lot J (immediate left of entrance clock tower).
Depart Tripp Center at 8 am, return to campus at 5 pm.
 
National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD)
Celebrates the power of sports to foster confidence, strength, and leadership in girls and women and cheer on UMassD Women’s Basketball as they square off with LEC foe, Eastern Connecticut.
 
Date/Time/Location: Wednesday, February 4, 2026, 5:00 pm, Tripp Athletic Center.
Details: Free Admission for local youth groups, player autographs.

Student-Athlete Therapy Group 
Led by Chris McGuire, MS, a predoctoral practicum student in clinical psychology
  • Each session is limited to 10 student-athletes.
  • Sign up in Teamworks to secure your spot in session (s) that may enhance your sports performance and personal ambitions.
  • All sessions will be held in the Hall of Fame Room on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm.
