Box Score LAKEVILLE, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team dropped its match, 8-1, against Plymouth State Saturday afternoon in Lakeville, Mass.

The Corsairs (3-2), fought hard with a handful of close games, while the Panthers (6-1) have now won four consecutive matches.

"I was disappointed in our doubles play, but we were much more competitive in the singles," said Head Coach Doug Chapman. "Yasemin Kurtis continued her strong play in singles, she in consistent and fights for everything."

Senior Yasemin Kurtis won her singles match over Plymouth's Kira Winter (6-1, 6-4). The other singles scores were senior Jackie Bokis (2-6, 4-6), junior Alanna O'Connell (6-1, 1-6, 4-6), sophomore Ailey Riddick (3-6, 1-6), junior McKenzie Ferrari (5-7, 1-6) and senior Jordan Beals (1-6, 0-6).

Falling in doubles were Kurtis and Bokis (2-8), O'Connell and Riddick (0-8) and Ferrari and Beals (2-8).

The Corsairs have a quick turnaround and will compete Sunday at Lesley at 1 p.m.
