CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Powered by a strong singles effort, Lesley University posted a 6-2 win over UMass Dartmouth in women's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon. The Lynx move to 1-1, while the Corsairs are also 1-1 on the young season.
Doubles action opened with the first flight duo of Jessica Legendre and Mary Osucha posting an 8-1 victory over senior captain

The Lynx earned the doubles win at two, as Brooke Whitten and Jordan Blair won a tight 8-7 (7-5) match against sophomore

In singles, Croce helped pull the match to a 2-2 margin with a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Ariane Ramos at six. Two's were next off court as Osucha posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over Clarke. From three, Whitten was a 6-1, 6-0 winner against Riddick, while Legendre recorded a 6-0, 6-2 victory against Walters from one.
The fifth flight saw Boyce and Benjamin battle hard as the Corsairs junior opened with a 6-3 win. Boyce countered, winning second set 7-6 (7-5) and went on to earn a 10-4 win for the overall victory.
UMass Dartmouth returns to the courts on Friday, traveling to Albany Academy for a 4pm match against Russell Sage College.
