Box Score DARTMOUTH, Mass. – It was a victorious day for the UMass Dartmouth women's tennis team, which defeated Little East Conference rival, Vermont State University Castleton by a 7-2 margin on Saturday afternoon at the Corsair Tennis Courts. The Corsairs move to 3-0 with the victory over the Spartans, who are now 0-2.

Emma Collings defeated juniors Stella Forte and Ginny Trevisan by an 8-0 margin. Next from two, junior

Sofia Beltran posted an 8-4 victory over junior Sophia Hussak and sophomore Olivia Rutkowski.
The Spartans grabbed a point back from three as rookies Alice Pomi and Andrea Rodriguez recorded an 8-5 win over Corsairs sophomores
Saige Croce and
Eren Adamiak.
In singles play, Croce posted victory at five, defeating junior Devon Kibbey by a 6-2, 6-0 score. At three, Collings posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Hussak, while from four, Beltran was a 6-1, 6-0 winner against Rutkowski to secure the match decision.
From two, Walters was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Trevisan, while Gonzalez recorded a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Forte for the win at one. VTSU Castleton earned the point in the sixth flight as senior Pearl Bellomo defeated Adamiak, 6-4, 6-3.
UMass Dartmouth is right back in action at home on Tuesday, September 10 when it hosts Clark University at 3:30pm.
