DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team fell at home against Little East Conference rivals Rhode Island College, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon. The Corsairs are now 4-3 in conference action and 7-5 overall on the season while the Anchorwomen improved to a perfect 6-0 Little East mark.

Ava Aguiar came out on top in No. 3 doubles with a 7-5 win.
In singles play, Faith Owren gave the Anchorwomen a 2-0 edge with a victory at No. 5 singles before Erica Botelho made it a 3-0 match with a win at No. 3 doubles. First year
Mya Dean battled against Haylie Peacock at No. 2 singles but came up short as Rhode Island pulled away with a 4-0 lead.
Senior
Zuri Walters, who was honored prior to the match during their Senior Day ceremony, fell to Arianna De Thomas at No. 1 singles. The Anchorwomen cemented their road win after a hard-fought battle by Aguiar at No. 6 singles forcing the contest into three sets, but Rhode Island captured their 12
th straight victory of the season by a final score of 7-0.
UMass Dartmouth travels to Western Connecticut State University for their final regular season match on Saturday, October 18
th scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time.
